Thruxton Delivers a Breakthrough Weekend for Jake Evans Trucksport

Jake Evans Trucksport returned to Thruxton for Round 2 of the 2026 championship over the 16th and 17th May. And what a weekend it turned out to be.

After last year’s engine failure left Jake completing only half the circuit, this event was always going to be a test of resilience, learning, and raw determination. The team rose to the challenge in style.

Saturday 16th: Wet Weather, Fast Laps, Big Results

Saturday’s racing brought classic Thruxton unpredictability, with wet conditions pushing every driver to their limits. Jake delivered two superb P2 podium finishes, showing confidence and control on a slippery track.

Even more impressive was the fastest lap of the day, a clear sign that the truck had pace and Jake was ready to fight at the front. Spirits in the paddock were sky‑high as the team looked ahead to Sunday.

Sunday 17th: Raising the Bar

If Saturday was strong, Sunday was exceptional. Jake secured two more P2 finishes and capped the weekend with a dominant P1 victory in Race 4.

A key moment came from Saturday’s Race 2, where finishing P8 across both classes placed Jake on pole position for Sunday’s final race. What followed was a masterclass: Jake led the entire opening lap and held firm under pressure to bring home P1 for Division 2.

A Weekend to Remember

Thruxton delivered everything the team hoped for, and more. Across both days, Jake collected valuable championship points, proved the truck’s pace, and showed just how far the team has come since last season.

This momentum now carries us into the next round with confidence, pride, and a hunger for even bigger results.
