The Leyland Exports Group, who’s heart is in the commercial vehicle industry has joined forces with J Evans Trucksport for 2026 as they prepare to kick start the British Truck Racing Championship at Brands Hatch next month.
We have worked closely with Jake and the team through their family business, specialising in diesel engine reconditioning and HGV maintenance for many years.
Here’s a little bit of background about J Evans Trucksport’s racing journey:
A family business rooted in diesel engine reconditioning and HGV maintenance has officially completed one of the most impressive debut driving seasons in recent British truck racing history, clinching the championship title in a dramatic final‑race showdown at Brands Hatch for the 2025 season.
The team’s journey into truck racing began years earlier, building high‑performance race engines for customers before deciding to construct a full race truck of their own. The build was completed entirely in‑house, supported by fellow competitors and friends already established in the sport. After competing with the truck through 2023, the team stepped back for the 2024 season to focus on major technical upgrades.
That development year proved transformative. The 2024–2025 off‑season brought extensive improvements that elevated the truck’s performance and competitiveness, setting the stage for a standout debut year behind the wheel.
